The Minnesota State Fire Department Association (MSFDA) has been awarded $1.4 million in funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) program to improve the recruitment of volunteer firefighters in Minnesota.

Sometimes life challenges even those who help others. As a way to help support the needs of firefighters, MSFDA has a new program that will accept applications requesting a financial donation up to $250 to an individual firefighter's fundraiser
